Shot down over Belgium, crashing at Bas-Oha, near Liege, during a largely unsuccessful attack on the Opel factory in Russelsheim

crashWings World War Two Remembrance Museum. Preserved tail section. Flew with No. 50 Squadron, coded VN-F. Tragically all 7 crew lost their lives on the night of 12/13 August 1944 when this Lancaster was shot down 3kms west of Huy in Belgium
