Lancaster III PB471 AR-F2 460 Sqn. Operation: Dortmund. Take off 21.37 Binbrook. Crashed at Linkhout (Limburg, Belgium), 6 km E of Diest. The aircraft falling into a wooded area known locally as Mierenberg. Those who died lie in Hasselt (Kruisveld) Communal Cemetery. Badly injured after landing in a tree, F/L Jenkins RAAF was taken to a hospital at Diest (Belgium).
