Facts

An as-yet unidentified Kriegsmarine Flak Abteiling (Naval anti-aircraft unit) on the Belgian coastline shot ND686 down into the sea at 23:50 hours crashing 2 km west of Adinkerke. The bodies of both air gunners were recovered quickly after the crash, the remainder of the crew two days later, they were buried together on 22nd March at Coxyde Military Cemetery.
