Facts

Takeoff at 23:43 hrs for a bombing operation against the Rothe Erde railway station at Aachen in Germany.
Homeward-bound, the aircraft was shot down by night fighter pilot Major Wilhelm Herget of the Stab I./NJG 4, who had taken off from Florennes airfield.
Five of the crew rest in the Eggewaartskapelle Churchyard, one of them rests in the Coxyde Military Cemetery.
