Saturday May 25th, People of Sint-Niklaas organised a service of remembrance during which, a monument was unveiled.
This memorial was erected in the memory of the airmen fallen there on May 22nd 1944 with the Lancaster LL 851-BQ-V of the 550 Sqd North Killingholme, coming back from a mission of bombing over Duisburg.
The seven airmen were killed in the incident.
Wilfred Burie, General Secretary laid a wraith for "The Belgians Remember Them".
