During the 75th National Pilgrimage to Fort Breendonk, Wilfred Burie represented the association "The Belgians Remember Them" as well as the Royal
Union of Veterans' Federations (RUFAC).
This national ceremony took place in the presence of His Majesty the King who recalled in his speech the tragedies caused by hatred and rejection of the
other. He had previously greeted two survivors of hell who represented the camp of Breendonk for hundreds of Belgians who were brought there because they
did not correspond to the Nazi criteria or that they had fought the occupier by resisting, simply.
W. Burie laid a wreath of flowers for each group he represented at this great Remembrance Moment, during which many young people from across the country
were also paid tribute to those who suffered so much in this place of horror.
