Facts

According Aircrews Remembered, the aircraft is presumed lossed at sea. So, if the body of Fl/Sgt Bertram was washed up after having been at sea for sometime, we hace to consider that the date of 11/09/1942 is the date of his bury and not the one of the crash. And we cannot confirm he was alone or with other aircrews when he lost his life.
